New look for #hearinglosshour
Today's an exciting day here at #Hearinglosshour HQ. We're launching our new look. What do you think? I hope you like it:
I launched #hearinglosshour over a year ago, on a voluntary basis, with the aims of providing a 'place' and time for people with hearing loss to support one another, and also for us to have discussions in the public domain in the hope that others would become more aware of the issues connected with living with hearing loss. However, publicising and facilitating the hour every month by myself was starting to take up too much of my time - and, as a freelancer, time is money and so, I decided to give up #hearinglosshour.
When Phonak heard that I was thinking of giving up #Hearinglosshour, they kindly offered some help with some sponsorship and support - things like this lovely new branding, help with publicising the hour and promoting the Storify summaries.
In addition to this, each month, they have pledged to have an expert on hand to answer the technical questions that I wouldn't be able to answer. So, a big thank you to Phonak!
As a Phonak user, blogger, hEARo and Product Ambassador for CROS II, I couldn't be more delighted to have Phonak on board - but, just to reassure you non-Phonak users out there - the hour's not just for Phonak users - it's for everyone!
The next #hearinglosshour takes place 1pm-2pm on Wednesday 7th September on Twitter, and the theme is ‘The new academic year’. Look out for the questions on Monday.
